Big Pineapple Festival 2024

After a three-year break, the Big Pineapple Festival is back, ready to light up the Sunshine Coast with a day full of music, activities, and pineapple-themed excitement. Set in the lush Pineapple Fields of Woombye on the traditional lands of the Gubbi Gubbi people, this festival promises an exhilarating mix of performances and vibrant festivities on Saturday, 19 October.

This year’s festival line-up is as diverse and delightful as the iconic fruit it celebrates. Headlining the event are some of Australia’s top music acts, including The Amity Affliction, whose electrifying rock anthems are sure to energise the crowd. Tones and I, famous for her global hit “Dance Monkey,” will grace the stage in a much-anticipated comeback, marking her first appearance at the Big Pineapple Festival since 2019.

Fans of electronic music will be thrilled by Golden Features, delivering their signature dance beats, while Peking Duk is set to infuse the festival with their catchy, infectious tunes. Rap aficionados will appreciate the dynamic sounds of Bliss n Eso, and Vera Blue will enchant audiences with her soulful melodies.

Adding to the festival’s eclectic mix are Thornhill, The Dreggs, Ocean Grove, and Kinder, who will showcase a range of styles from punk to pop. Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers are sure to captivate with their energetic punk-pop sounds, and Hellcat Speedracer, a recent triple j Unearthed competition winner, will bring fresh flair to the festival stage.

The event also features performances from Drax Project, SLUMBERJACK, and South Summit, each adding their unique sounds to the festival’s dynamic atmosphere. Rising talents like Raw Ordio, Ishan, and Larynx highlight the festival’s commitment to promoting emerging artists, offering attendees a chance to discover fresh and exciting new sounds.

Embrace the festival’s playful spirit by entering the Best Dressed competition, where creativity is key. With a fun pineapple theme, festival-goers are encouraged to don their most imaginative and vibrant outfits, adding to the colourful and lively atmosphere that the Big Pineapple Festival is known for.

Tickets for the Big Pineapple Festival will go on sale at 8 am AEST on Thursday, 11 July, with a presale option available the day before for early birds eager to secure their spot.
