Gold Coasters stripping down for the Cupid’s Undie Run

We’re here to tell you about something really important, This Sunday in Broadbeach some fantastic people will be getting down to their kit and run, walk or dance their way through Broadbeach to support the Children’s Tumour Foundation as part of the Cupid’s Undie Run.

The Cupid’s Undie Run is a 1.5km run to raise funds for the Children’s Tumour Foundation to shine a light on the genetic disorder, Neurofibromatosis ( NF ) and have a bit fun while they are at it.

It’s a walk, run or dance along Broadbeach, followed by an exclusive after-party at the Envy Hotel, with games, prizes, entertainment, and Cupid’s themed cocktails and much more. The Cupid’s Undie Run is a fun run that isn’t about who comes first or the running… it’s about fundraising for a cure.

Some amazing locals like Apollo, Jai Whitbread from the GC Titans and Flick from Survivor will be taking part to help bring awareness and support to this fantastic cause.

NF affects 1 in every 2,500 births and causes tumours to grow on any of the 100 billion nerves in the body. It can affect major organs and lead to blindness, bone abnormalities, deafness, disfigurement, learning difficulties and even death.
It is a progressive, unpredictable condition with no cure or active form of treatment.

Gold Coasters stripping down for the Cupid's Undie RunCupid’s Undie Run National Campaign Manager, Rachel Skelton, is a Gold Coast local whose daughter is affected by NF. She is looking forward to the event raising increased awareness and much-needed funds for CTF.

“When Bella was diagnosed with NF, I was astounded by the lack of awareness of NF even though it is one of the most common genetic disorders. Bella is four now and has tumours compressing her spine. What is really terrible is that it is like living with a time bomb, because you have no idea how or where other tumours will grow, there are few treatments and no cure. What we can do, is raise funds for life-changing research and provide support for families battling with NF”.

What can you do to help?

The Cupid’s Undie Run aims to raise over $500,000 for the CTF so it can continue to provide significant critical support to people like Bella, and fund vital research to develop treatments and one day find a cure.

You can Enter the Cupid’s Undie Run this weekend.

‘Dare to Bare’, ‘celebrate being different’ and help make a real difference for the kids and their families impacted by NF! Tumours should never be a child’s normal. Get a team together or join a team and get in and take part in a great day out and help a fantastic cause.

If you can’t make it, you can always donate.

The primary goal is to help find a cure and support those amazing individuals who are living with NF, so you can make a donation to the CTF and help them make an impact in someone’s lives.
