Get your taste buds ready – the HOTA Hawker Night Markets are back on Saturday 7 June, promising a full-on feast for all five senses in the heart of the Gold Coast.
From 4pm, HOTA’s lakeside lawns will be transformed into a vibrant hawker-style haven, inspired by the sizzling streets and bustling food markets of Southeast Asia. Expect to be swept up in a swirl of colours, culture and cuisine, with over 150 stalls serving up a global street food experience like no other.
Whether you’re craving steamy pork dumplings, saucy stir-fried noodles, sizzling seafood, or a crispy banh mi, you’ll find it here. And if you’ve got both hands full of skewers and bubble tea, you’re doing it right.
Beyond the bites, there’s plenty to take in. The open-air market will glow under colourful lanterns, guiding visitors through handmade goods, fresh artisan finds, and gourmet delights. Then grab a patch of grass, kick back with your foodie haul and soak in the sunset views over Evandale Lake and the Surfers Paradise skyline.
Live local music will set the tone as the evening rolls in, and roving performers – think fire tricks, stilts and even Chinese Lion dancers – will keep the energy buzzing all night long. With entertainment for the whole family, it’s more than just a market – it’s a cultural escape.
