Well, it’s that time of year when the search to find Miss Universe Australia is well underway with finalists being selected across the country.
Early next month at the Sofitel on Collins Melbourne the judging panel have the incredibly hard job of selecting the 2015 Miss Universe Australia.

Today we are chatting with finalist Stella Badenoch from South Australia who is one of the national finalists who will be competing for the 2015 title of Miss Universe Australia and hoping to follow in the footsteps of Jennifer Hawkins, Rachael Finch, Jesinta Campbell and last years winner Tegan Martin.

First of all the all-important introduction tell us a little about yourself…?
I am currently working in retail, and looking at progressing into a management role. I have an eye for investment properties, and currently looking to further invest and expand my property portfolio. For fun, I love to work out! I do a cross core training twice a week, but I also love just being with family and friends having nice dinners and catching up. My biggest ambition is to be an international model who travels the world and helps others.

Stella Congratulations on making it so far in such a coveted competition! We have to ask how has the overall experience been so far …?   And how are you feelings in the lead up to the finals. ..?
This is a once in a life time opportunity and I am so honoured that I have been selected to represent South Australia. It’s been surreal, it still hasn’t quite hit me that I am going to compete in Miss Universe Australia! Just trying to learn and take as much as I can from this experience and try my hardest to do my best! Feeling excited for the journey ahead!Miss Universe Australia 2015 Finalist - Stella Badenoch2

With contestants coming from all over the country and bringing their own individual flare What do you think will set you out from the rest of the finalists  competing in the 2015 competition …?

I believe we all have our unique traits and one of mine is the ability to light up a room and fill people with laughter. I am hoping this will set me apart from the rest as I have a presence that people love to be around.

What is something people might find interesting about yourself …?
I have been told that I have a different laugh for every situation

Speaking of a person’s unique flare or style what would you say is your best style or beauty secret …?
My favourite beauty secret would be, I put toothpaste on my pimples before going to bed! Works every time!

With Fitness becoming more and more a part of a person’s personal style how would you describe your fitness regime and how it relates to your life …?
I have always loved fitness, having danced for most of my life. This is shown through all the classes I take part in, to keep myself fit! I’m always doing something in my routine.

Who or what inspired you to get involved in the Miss Universe Australia Pageant …? What drew you to such a competition ….? Having always had modelling in my future ambitions, it wasn’t until my manager had convinced me to pursue this amazing opportunity this year, that I actually thought it was possible! Growing up and seeing the beautiful and intelligent women from the Miss Universe pageants, pushed me to become the best that I could be, to one day reach my goal of participating in Miss Universe

Speaking of inspiration who inspires you most …?

My Mum inspires me the most. She is an incredibly strong woman. Having seen everything she has been dealt, and getting through it all with such poise, really showed me what woman I should inspired to be. As cliche as that may sound.

The Miss Universe Pageant has a long history of associating with charity are there any social causes that are particularly close to your heart that you would like to  use the platform of miss universe to advance …?

The Cancer Council, being a big part of my life helped myself and my family through the difficult time of the cancer treatment and the passing of my Nan. Having raised money for the Cancer Council throughout the years, I would love to continue helping them raise money to cure as many forms of cancer as possible.

What is something you hope to bring out of the Miss Universe Australia Pageant …?  I would like to make new friendships and take everything possible from this experience to grow and better myself.
