The sweet smells of spring are in the air, the weather is warming up nicely, and we are all venturing out of our winter hibernation looking for new places to eat, smile laugh and say hello.
Today as part of our Food Find Series we’re taking you inside Ida’s Kitchen, a sleek new cafe on the Northern Gold Coast that pays homage to Nick and Jonathan Freeman’s grandmother Ida.

Who taught and inspired the boys about the importance of bringing quality food and the people you love together.
Ida’s Kitchen is bringing Gold Coasters a list of tasty and sensational dishes with a love of fresh, sweet and savoury creations on the menu, and some smashing pastry’s.
Setting out with the aim to bring you all quality food and simple meals done exceptionally, the boys certainly have delivered.
Their Motivation comes from the heart, Ida’s influence on the duo; it’s clear they pride themselves on making quality food and being part of a community.

A Crucial Part of their success comes fro assembling a distinguished team, including their head chef who is originally from Paddock Bakery and the head pastry chef from Bam Bam Bakehouse who work with a range of great providores to make the best of the best.
Growing up in their grandmother’s Kitchen, they learnt the tips, tricks and attention to detail that you just don’t pick up in today’s kitchens.
This is evident in the food they serve up today, one look at their Instagram @_idaskitchen shows you the quality of the bright, fresh food on offer and we’re sure this is only the beginning for the Ida’s Kitchen.
So if you’re after something to make your day brighter we suggests popping on in and maybe trying something off the menu…
