Ashanti Announces Rock Wit U Tour for Australia and NZ

Grammy-winning R&B artist Ashanti is returning to Australia and New Zealand this November for her Rock Wit U arena tour.

Grammy-winning singer, songwriter, and actress Ashanti is heading back down under. This November, the R&B star will take the stage for her “Rock Wit U” tour across theatres and arenas in Australia and New Zealand.

Following a successful UK arena run with Sean Paul, the upcoming tour adds another chapter to a career that began with a record-breaking debut. Her self-titled 2002 album made history as the fastest-selling debut by a female artist, earning her the top spot on both the Billboard Top 200 and R&B charts.

“Australia and New Zealand has always shown me so much love, and I’m so excited to be coming back this coming Fall for my ‘Rock Wit U’ tour!” the singer shared in a statement. Anticipating the lively crowds, she added, “I can’t wait to Rock with you all! Australia and New Zealand get ready… we’re going to have a blast together! ❤️✨”.

Over the years, Ashanti has released six studio albums and sold over 30 million records globally. Fans attending the November shows can likely expect signature tracks like ‘Foolish’ and the club favourite ‘Only U’. The setlist may also feature ‘Rock Wit U (Awww Baby),’ which recently found a new audience after being sampled by British artist Aitch.

Beyond her solo work, Ashanti’s collaborative projects remain staples of the early-2000s music scene. She famously teamed up with Ja Rule on ‘Always On Time’ and ‘Mesmerize,’ Fat Joe on ‘What’s Luv?,’ and Fabolous on ‘Into You’. Her extensive collection of honours includes Billboard Music Awards, American Music Awards, Soul Train Awards, and ASCAP Awards.

While music remains her primary focus, Ashanti has expanded her career into film. She has acted in and produced projects alongside Hollywood names like Samuel L. Jackson, Sharon Stone, and Susan Sarandon. She is also a decorated author and an ambassador for several youth organisations in the United States.

In recognition of her broad contributions to the arts and advocacy, Ashanti was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in April 2022. Now, she is preparing to bring her decades of entertainment experience back to the stage for her Australian and New Zealand fans.
