Broc Feeney has etched his name into Supercars history, claiming a commanding clean sweep at the betr Darwin Triple Crown to become only the third driver to ever achieve the feat. Starting from pole in all three races, the Red Bull Ampol Racing star converted each into victory, reinforcing his grip on the 2025 Repco Supercars Championship.
The 22-year-old Queenslander added to his growing list of accolades by becoming just the 12th driver to win five consecutive Supercars races — the first to do so since his former teammate Shane van Gisbergen. Feeney was untouchable in Sunday’s 200km race, extending his championship lead to 183 points over teammate Will Brown.
Behind Feeney, the future of Ford was on full display. Penrite Racing teammates Kai Allen and Matt Payne delivered a milestone performance, sharing the podium for the first time. The rookie Allen and New Zealander Payne brought their Ford Mustangs home in second and third respectively, underlining the rising talent within the Blue Oval’s camp.
It was Feeney’s eighth win of the 2025 season and his fifth straight triumph at Hidden Valley Raceway — further cementing his dominance in Darwin. He now joins Supercars legends Scott McLaughlin and Jamie Whincup as the only drivers to have claimed the coveted Triple Crown.
Further back in the field, Cam Waters’ race ended with drama after a late-race incident saw his Monster Energy Mustang limp across the line with only three wheels intact.
With just two rounds remaining before the Sprint Cup Champion is crowned, Feeney holds the advantage and has already locked in the first berth in Supercars’ inaugural finals series. Meanwhile, Payne has surged into third in the championship standings, just 14 points shy of Will Brown.
The championship now shifts focus to North Queensland’s biggest annual sporting event — the NTI Townsville 500 — from 11–13 July. The Townsville event will feature three races across three days, including a 100km Friday dash to open the weekend.
