The old town favourite Burleigh Town Tavern is undergoing a major renovation, which will see the property expanded and a complete revamp before being given a new name and reopened later this year as the Burleigh Town Hotel.
The new-look will include a revitalised open-plan bistro and feature a menu full of Queensland produce, pub classics and share plates. Weekends will see pop-ups and events, with guests invited to enjoy deliciously smoked and woodfired grill dishes from the outdoor smoker & grill.
The property’s beer garden will be expanded to offer outdoor dining and drinking areas for everyone across two areas, with one focused on families and decked out with a kid’s play area.
The venue is also set to cater for sports lovers and will feature a mega screen to play all the action live and loud, while you sip a few cold ones this footy season.
This also sees the venue expand its entertainment offerings to become the home for live entertainment in the area, with a stage and band room to host touring acts.
Operator Australian Venue Co is excited to be investing in the great Gold Coast pub.
“Burleigh Town Tavern was due a refresh but we wanted to make the pub the best in the area, for both locals and visitors,” says Australian Venue Co-COO Craig Ellison.
“We are investing a significant amount of money into the venue to not only transform all of the spaces but the expand the footprint significantly to cater to more guests both indoors and outdoors. When the pub re-opens later this year under the new name Burleigh Town Hotel, we know that it will be a place locals are proud of and visitors want to visit.”
