Chandon Popsicles and those summer feels at the Canary Bar!

Canary Bar at Caulfield Cup debuts on Saturday, October 21 at Aquis Park – home of the Gold Coast Turf Club and Event Centre – introducing yet another exciting VIP race day experience to the 2017 Gold Coast Spring Carnival program. The exclusive event to be hosted in The Dome features live entertainment and a premium trackside dining and beverage package, with a gourmet grazing menu of interactive food stations featuring fresh seafood, prime meats, Asian banquet and more. Enhancing the celebratory atmosphere, the event includes five hours of premium beverages featuring Chandon S offered by hostesses donning extravagant sparkling skirts and pourers to complete the multisensory spectacle. Guests can also savour the prestigious brand of bubbles with the launch of Chandon’s quirky popsicles at the event, which forms a feature of this season’s enhanced program of experiences appealing to seasoned racegoers as well as newcomers. Limited tickets are now available for the Canary Bar experience kicking off at noon, with packages including entry to the racecourse and the VIP Dome Caulfield Cup event, as well as a racebook. Alongside all the thrills of the on-track action, guests will indulge in a spectacular menu boasting a seafood extravaganza of whole cooked local trawler prawns served on crushed ice; NSW kingfish carpaccio, Moreton Bay bug tails with gremolata, chilli lime coriander and mint dipping sauce; and Australia’s finest oysters served with a variety of delectable toppings. An unmatched foodie experience features stations dedicated to the best quality meats artfully prepared, including sous vide WA lamb rump, 15 hour slow-cooked wild boar sliders, Berkshire pork belly and Australian wagyu beef; and a delicious selection of traditional Asian delicacies, including Queensland wild duck confit, pork steam buns, sticky pork ribs, and prawn and barramundi dumplings. The buffet also comprises a continental deli, and organic and natural selections, then, to top off the gourmand experience in the most memorable way, housemade icecream created before guests’ very eyes and finished with liquid nitrogen. While beverages include Chandon S sparkling wines, beers, ciders and basic spirits. Aquis Park CEO Steve Lines said Canary Bar at Caulfield Cup would deliver a new and exciting experience certain to appeal to a fresh generation of guests at this year’s Spring Racing Carnival. “This brand-new experience brings the best in race day fun and excitement for guests to enjoy as part of our fresh program for this year,” Mr Lines said. “Our aim is to maintain and improve upon our traditional race day offering, while introducing new ways for our members and guests, both young and old, to dress up, enjoy top quality dining and premium bubbles, and join us for a flutter as we celebrate this iconic feature of Australian spring racing.” The ticket price will include access to the exclusive afterparty at Stingray Bar & Lounge plus transport from Aquis Park to QT Gold Coast. The 2017 Gold Coast Spring Carnival program runs from September 23 to November 11. Other program highlights include 1029 Hot Tomato Derby Day on Saturday, November 4, featuring the Moet Ice Beach Party in the Event Centre, and Melbourne Cup Race Day on Tuesday, November 7, while Aquis Park will be the only track operating between Brisbane and the Gold Coast for the Vili’s Pies Race Day – Metropolitan Meeting on Saturday, October 7.
