Two of the driers who are in contention for the Sydney Cup which comes with a hefty $25,000 prize say they will be doing whatever it takes to achieve a breakthrough Supercars win in Sydney this weekend.
Practice is currently underway for the third weekend in a row of racing, Chaz Mostert the 2014 Bathurst winner and Boost rookie Brodie Kostecki have both made the podium in the first two weekends, and are hoping for a slight improvement to take a victory this weekend.
Chaz Mostert incredibly drove from the last row of the grid to a podium finish in the pouring rain on Sunday night while Brodie Kostecki has been one of the form drivers in Sydney.
This weekend’s bp Ultimate Sydney SuperSprint is a two-day three-race event that will be the third-last of this year’s Repco Supercars Championship.
It is Supercars’ Family Round with fans encouraged to bring the whole family along to watch all the racing trackside.
Shane van Gisbergen leads the Championship by 346 points from Jamie Whincup heading into this weekend’s event.
The bp Ultimate Sydney SuperSprint will be broadcast exclusively live on Foxtel and streamed live on Kayo, with highlights on the Seven Network and 7plus.
