This morning Supercars have hit the track from Practice in Tasmania ahead of three sprint races this weekend, Championship leader Chaz Mostert is sporting some new shiny orange numbers and hopes to maintain the lead leaving Tasmania.

The NED Whisky Tasmania Supersrpint kicks off today with practice and then a three-part qualifying session followed by the first race of the weekend.

Chaz Mostert enters today’s action holding a 12 point lead over Shell Ford Mustang driver Anton De Pasquale. It’s the first time in Mostert’s illustrious career he has ever held a Championship lead.

After securing the lead of the championship at Sydney Motorsport park, Chaz Said
“I never thought I’d have an orange number on my car,” said Mostert, who finished third on Saturday.
“Driving up and seeing this [championship leader] board is pretty cool.
“It’s cool to tick that box off the list… I don’t know where to start. What a race, what a weekend for us.
