Electronic music pioneer Fatboy Slim is returning to Australia in March 2027, bringing his signature blend of breakbeats, funk and cheeky chaos to a fresh lineup of distinct venue spaces across the country.

Rather than returning to festival mainstages or massive superclubs, Norman Cook is taking his performance back to his roots. The upcoming run will see him get closer to fans inside personal, underground and urban outdoor locations across Fremantle, Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne, where no two cities will share the same atmosphere.

The March 2027 tour follows an expansive 2026 schedule that included spots on the Quasar stage at Coachella, four nights on Brighton Beach and a closing set at Rock in Rio in Brazil. For his Australian return, Cook is curating tailored environments in each stop.

In Sydney, Fatboy Slim will set up an intimate residency inside the heritage bays of Carriageworks. Melbourne fans will see him take over The Underpass, a new urban site located beneath the elevated freeway in West Melbourne built around concrete and steel structures. In Brisbane, the South Bank Forecourt will transform into a riverside dancefloor for the return of On The Banks, while Western Australian audiences will experience a performance under the stars and by the ocean at Esplanade Park in Fremantle.

Explaining his approach to selecting venues for the tour, Fatboy Slim shared his vision for the upcoming shows:

“For this tour to Australia I wanted to get up close with my people, play venues with real atmosphere and have a proper party!,” says Fatboy Slim. “Bridges, rivers, parks, old railway sheds – if it’s a bit weird and the sound system’s loud enough, I’m there.”

Alongside classic tracks such as “Right Here Right Now”, “Praise You” and “Weapon of Choice”, attendees can expect recent material from Cook’s catalogue. His setlists will feature “Satisfaction Skank”, a mash-up of his track “The Rockafeller Skank” and The Rolling Stones’ “Satisfaction”, produced with their blessing, alongside his single “Funk Drunk”, recorded with Brazilian DJ Carola and Felix Da Housecat.

Due to the limited capacity of these smaller venues, organisers advise fans to register early for pre-sale access.
