Fiji Women's Pro called ON for Round 2

Fiji Women’s Pro, Stop No. 5 on the 2015 Samsung Galaxy WSL Championship Tour, will continue today with Round 2 starting at 8 a.m. local time at Cloudbreak. The world’s best female surfers will battle the waves and each other to avoid early elimination in Round 2, including defending event winner Sally Fitzgibbons (AUS) who will take on wildcard Mahina Maeda (HAW) in Heat 3. “It looks really fun out here today and there’s some good swell,” Jessi Miley-Dyer, WSL Women’s Commissioner, said. “We’re going to go straight into Round 2 this morning and I’m also going to leave Rounds 3 and 4 on hold. I think as the day goes on it’s going to start pumping out here and it will be a really good day for us.” Surfline, official forecaster for the WSL CT, are calling for: SW groundswell tops out/holds midweek, while winds lighten considerably. Watching Tasman low for potential solid SW swell late week. Winds remain favorable through Thursday morning, rising out of the SE/SSE in the afternoon.
