Finals Day has officially been ON for the Bonsoy Gold Coast Pro Presented by GWM, which is stop number three of the 2026 World Surf League Championship Tour.
Surfers and fans are looking forward to pumping surf at Snapper Rocks. Some massive matchups are on the cards for today. with Stephanie Gilmore going up against giant slaying rookie Nadia Erostarbe in their semi-final. Lakey Peterson and Luana Silva will decide the final place in the semis as the first competition heat of the day.
Mick Fanning and Joel Parkinson will continue their rivalry with a legends heat as both captain a squad of up and comers into the lineup. with this expected to kick off around 9am.
And on the mens side the quarter finals will be decided with local legend Liam O’brien still in the mix and the Brazilian’s Filipe Toledo and Samuel Pupo both with the highest heat totals of the event going head to head to decide their place in the finals.
Yesterday saw the biggest crowds we’ve seen at the WSL in recent memory with the beach packed from Snapper to Greenmount, and last nights concert heaving with surf fans, so expect a bit of a walk to the event site.
