Elvis, the film from Oscar-nominated visionary Baz Luhrmann, has undoubtedly been the talk of the Gold Coast for some years now, filmed here and making global headlines when star Tom Hanks and wife Rita Wilson were one of the first celebrities to contract COVID-19.

Filming has now concluded, and famous faces returned home, but now we have a first look at the trailer, which has been released this morning.

The film explores the life and music of Elvis Presley, played by Austin Butler, seen through the prism of his complicated relationship with his enigmatic manager Colonel Tom Parker played by Tom Hanks.

Delving into the complex dynamic between the two, spanning over twenty years from Presley’s rise to fame to his unprecedented stardom, set against the backdrop of an evolving America and its loss of innocence.

Central to this journey is one of the most influential and significant people in the King’s life Priscilla Presley, played by Olivia DeJonge.
