Mudgeeraba is about to get a serious hospitality upgrade, with a brand new food, retail and wellness precinct confirmed to open in early 2027.
TEAK Mudgeeraba will deliver 14 purpose-built commercial spaces to 64 Railway Street, positioning the hinterland suburb as a growing player in the Gold Coast’s evolving dining scene.
Leading the charge is a familiar name with serious local history. The Australian German Club, a Merrimac institution for more than 50 years, has signed on as the anchor tenant, bringing its beloved restaurant and beer hall to a new home.

A New Chapter for the Australian German Club
The European-inspired venue will seat more than 200 guests, with a focus on live music and special events throughout the year.
The menu will stay true to its roots, with traditional German favourites including pork knuckle, schnitzels, sausages and pretzels all returning. For those after something a little more local, the kitchen will also serve Aussie staples such as fish and chips, chicken parmigiana, Caesar salad and a 250gm eye fillet steak.
At the centre of the new space sits a 30-metre bar, pouring more than ten local and international beers on tap alongside a selection of wines, cocktails and non-alcoholic options.
What Else is Coming?
While the Australian German Club is the first confirmed tenant, TEAK’s local developers have hinted at more to come.
“We’re in discussion with some great new restaurants and wine bars, as well as boutique beauty and fitness brands which the community are already excited about,” they said.
When Does Teak Mudgeeraba Open?
Construction is already underway, with locals expected to be pulling up a seat by next summer.
