Fans of the highly anticipated Out 2 Lunch festival will have to wait a little longer. Originally slated to expand nationwide across Australia in 2026, the festival has officially been postponed to 2027, with the sudden announcement coming just a month before the event was scheduled to kick off.
Organizers, took to social media to explain the difficult decision, pointing to broader logistical and economic challenges currently facing the country. “Australia is going through it right now,” the organizers shared, citing “fuel shortages, rising costs, and significant disruption expected over the next 6 weeks” as the primary reasons for the cancellation. They added that they would “rather do this properly in 2027 than ask anything more of our fans right now”.
While specific dates for the rescheduled 2027 festival will be announced soon, organizers assured fans that all current tickets will automatically remain valid for the new dates. For those unable to attend next year, refunds are available through Ticketek. All eligible ticket holders have been contacted via email with full refund details, and anyone who has not received this communication is encouraged to send a direct message to the festival’s official social media channels.
Despite the disappointing news, FISHER and the O2L team remain optimistic about the festival’s future, promising attendees that the 2027 return “is going to be worth every second of the wait”.
