Gold Coast Clothing Designers & Brother's start Movember Movement

Gold Coast designer’s, brothers and men’s health advocates Troy, Jay and Ryan Cochrane of Greef Clothing have already raised nearly $2,000 for their Movember campaign and are in the hopes of raising $10 000 for the charity.

The Movember Foundation is the leading global organisation committed to changing the face of men’s health, having already raised $580 million and funded over 800 programs in 21 countries.

The Movember Foundation challenges men to grow moustaches during Movember (formerly known as November), to spark conversation about prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health problems.

“If we want to find a cure we need to keep people talking about Movember. Cancer touches the lives of every 1 in 3 people, this is everyone’s fight and we hope the Gold Coast will get behind this campaign and fight with us,” Troy said.

Greef Clothing will be hosting a free Pool Party at the Coolangatta’s hotspot Komune this Saturday November 22nd. Previous Big Brother Winner & radio host Trevor Butler will be the MC for the night. They are also holding  a gold coin donation raffle to win prizes on the night, with 100% of the monies going to the Movember Foundation.

Greef Clothing has created three tee-shirt designs inspired by the Movember campaign for both men and women, which will be available on the night and are currently available online.

“Our shirts are $25 each, with $15 (100% profits) from every one sold going to the charity. You can purchase your own tee anytime during the month of November, as well as at the Komune event, where the tees will appear in a fashion show,” Troy said.

This year 20 000 men will be diagnosed with prostate or testicular cancer. To date, 4 million moustaches have been grown worldwide in the hopes of raising awareness for early detection and a cure.
