Gold Coast Vodafone customers are currently experiencing a mobile network outage that has severely impacted incoming and outgoing calls.
Affected users on the coast are reporting that their mobile devices are displaying an SOS indicator, rendering them unable to receive or make any outgoing phone calls.
The problem is being compounded by technical difficulties with Vodafone's own online support services. The Vodafone Network Status checker tool is also undergoing issues, returning an error result for users attempting to check for network updates this morning.
Vodafone Responds to Service Disruptions
A spokesperson for the telecommunications company confirmed the network problems and stated that the organisation is actively looking into the disruptions.
“We are aware that some customers are experiencing intermittent issues with Vodafone mobile services and we are urgently investigating,” the spokesperson said.
“We apologise for the inconvenience and are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. We will provide an update as soon as possible.”
