Grab Huge $5 Katsu Sandos at Harajuku Gyoza Broadbeach

Get massive Japanese katsu sandos for just $5 at Harajuku Gyoza Broadbeach on Saturday 2 May for one hour only.

If you love massive flavours and a top-tier bargain, clear your calendar for Saturday 2 May. Harajuku Gyoza at The Oasis Shopping Centre in Broadbeach is serving up its brand-new premium Japanese sandos for a flat $5 each.

For one hour only, between 11am and 12pm, you can score these oversized creations and check out the restaurant’s slick new renovation. The menu brings a slice of Japan’s beloved convenience store culture right to the Gold Coast, but these are not your standard sandwiches. They are huge, packed with golden crumbed fillings, and wedged between slices of ultra-soft Japanese milk bread.

Normally setting you back between $18 and $23, the $5 launch line-up features three indulgent savoury options. Seafood fans can grab the Prawn Katsu Sando, loaded with house-made crispy fried prawn katsu, shredded lettuce, and a special herbs mayonnaise. If poultry is more your style, the Chicken Katsu Sando pairs crispy fried chicken with shredded cabbage, Japanese mayonnaise, and house-made tonkotsu sauce. Plant-based eaters are also covered with the Eggplant Katsu Sando, featuring crispy fried eggplant, shredded cabbage, miso dressing, and Japanese mayonnaise.

“Japanese konbini food has a cult following for a reason,” said Ashleigh Pipon from Harajuku Gyoza. “It’s comforting, high-quality and incredibly delicious. The $5 sando giveaway is our way of celebrating the launch and sharing that experience with our Gold Coast community.”

With queues heavily expected, your best bet is to arrive early. The Japanese Katsu Sando range is rolling out across Brisbane, Sydney, and the Gold Coast for a limited time, but this specific one-hour giveaway is exclusive to the Broadbeach location.
