th and 9th January,  is event number seven of the 10-event national series that acts as a pathway for Australian youngsters to begin cutting their competitive teeth. The series caters for both boys and girls with divisions for Under 8’s through to Under 14’s, and also offers a variety of beach games for both competitors and spectators alike. As an added bonus to the series, the winners of the Under 14 divisions at each event will be invited to respective boys’ and girls’ (20 participants total) three day ” Wahu Surf Camps” (all-expenses paid) at the Hurley Surfing Australia High Performance Centre. Event organisers will spend this week surveying conditions on the Gold Coast for the best possible conditions leading into the weekend. Spectators are encouraged to come down and find a spot on the sand to witness the depth of the Gold Coast’s talent pool and meet some of Queensland’s next crop of surfing superstars.
