A Decade-Long Dream Realised
This new opening is extra special, marking a tremendous milestone for first-time franchisees Raissa Correa and Isabela Silveira. These inspiring women have been integral members of the GYG family for over 10 years!
Both Raissa and Isabela started their journey on the crew, working their way up from Crew Managers to taking on significant roles within Hola Central (Head office). Their new restaurant is the realisation of a dream they helped many others achieve.
“This is such a full-circle moment for us,” shared Isabela Silveira, GYG Mermaid Waters Franchisee. She highlighted that through years of behind-the-scenes experience and mentorship from the Franchisee network, they know exactly what it takes to launch something amazing, and they are “excited to bring fresh, delicious, and CLEAN Mexican food to Mermaid Waters”.
The opening of Mermaid Waters has already created over 50 new jobs. Raissa and Isabela are still keen to expand their team and continue hiring passionate locals to join the crew. “GYG is about more than food. It’s about building careers, giving people the chance to grow, and creating a positive impact in the community,” Raissa adds.
