The government has announced that instead of moving to another lockdown mask-wearing will be extended for another week in the below Local Government Areas and a hard border closure is now enforced with delay expected.

The government has announced that instead of moving to another lockdown mask-wearing will be extended for another week in the below Local Government Areas and a hard border closure is now enforced with delay expected.

New South Wales border zone residents can only cross the border for a permitted purpose. Likewise, Queensland residents can only enter the New South Wales border zone for a permitted purpose the decision on the border will be reviewed in four weeks.

We’re asking people to use their common sense – you can cross the border from a border zone community for an essential activity, work, education or organised children’s sport.

City of Brisbane, Moreton Bay Regional Council, City of Gold Coast, City of Ipswich, Lockyer Valley, Logan City, Noosa Shire, Redland City, Scenic Rim Regional Council, Sunshine Coast Council.

Mask Requirements remain in place until 6:00 am on Friday 30 July
You must carry a face mask at all times when you leave home unless you have a lawful reason not to. You must wear your mask in indoor spaces such as Shopping Centres and Supermarkets, Hospitals Aged Care, Indoor Workplaces (Where safe to and when you can’t socially distance), Public Transport including Taxis and Rideshare or cues, Airports and Travelling on Planes.
