Interview with Face of Fashion week Finalist Shontina Rose

Well today we are sitting down to chat with Shontina one of the finalists of the face of fashion week who is in the mix with Ten others to be appointed the face of the QT Fashion Week and Awards 2014  in April.
Starting off with the basics who what and where inspires you most..?

There are a few people I look up to who have inspired me in my modelling career, but I would have to say Miranda Kerr has been the most inspiring. She has achieved a lot of goals that I would love to reach, as well as teaching aspiring girls their self-worth. I often read her book ‘Treasure Yourself’ whenever I am in need of inspiration or positivity, I recommend it to any young girls who are in need of a boost to achieve their goals or dreams.

If you had to describe yourself to someone in a few short words what would you say …?
I would say that I am very motivated and ambitious to succeed. I love to make new friends and meet new people. I am also quite adventurous, I know that there is so much out there in the world I want to see and experience!

Where would you say you find your motivation …?
Mostly within myself, knowing that I want to be successful in life and my dreams more than anything..
What would you say fashion means to you…?
To me, fashion is an expression of one’s inner self. I think it should always be based on what you personally find interesting and no one else!
When did you first get started in modelling and what made you get into the industry …?
I first started modelling almost 3 years ago now, it was always something I was interested in but I never really thought I had the potential until an agency contacted me for an interview and it all started from there!
What would you say has been a career highlight so far..?
One of my biggest experiences so far would probably be entering into the Miss Universe Australia Competition and going through to the Queensland state finals.
As the Gold Coast is pretty different market how would you describe Gold Coast Fashion …?  What makes it different in your eyes …?
It can get very hot in this lovely location, especially over summer and there are a lot of beaches. I would say that the fashion here is summery and fresh, I personally like to dress classy on all occasions although everyone is different with their own styles.
What do you hope to come from your experience in the Face of Fashion week Competition…?
Well it would be an amazing opportunity to win, but either way it has been a fantastic experience and I have loved being a part of it!
Now as a final question what makes you stand out from the other finalists of Face of Fashion Week…
As you can probably guess it is very hard to stand out from such beautiful girls! Although I believe everyone has their own unique and gorgeous features as well as personalities which help them to stand out in their own ways
