Interview with Face of QT Fashion Week finalist Jess Marshall

Well today we are sitting down to chat with Jess Marshall one of the finalists of the Face of QT Fashion week and awards competiton who is in the mix with twenty others to be appointed the face of the QT Fashion Week and Awards held in April.
Well starting off with the basics who what and where
Who inspires you most?
Someone who is an inspiration to me is blogger, photographer, model and stylist Hanneli Mustaparta. She has a wonderful career and an eye for putting together beautiful outfits that scream classy. Id love to be in her shoes one day!
If you had to describe yourself to someone in a few short words what would you say?
I describe myself as a very creative, down to earth and passionate person.
Where would you say you find your motivation?
My motivation comes from within mostly, I like to set goals for myself and take steps to get myself where I want to be.
What would you say fashion means to you…?
Fashion is a way to express myself, and one of the many ways I like to get creative. I really love putting together my outfits and creating something uniquely me.
When did you first get started in modelling and what made you get into the industry?
I first signed with an agency back in 2011, I’ve always been interested in the industry since I was young. I got into modelling as a way to become a better more confident version of myself.
What would you say has been a career highlight so far?
My career highlight to date has been meeting so many inspiring industry professionals, whether it be makeup artists or photographers, each person has taught me something that I take away from that experience and apply in other jobs or every day life.
As the Gold Coast is a pretty different market how would you describe Gold Coast Fashion?  What makes it different in your eyes?
Gold Coast fashion is quite casual and quirky in its own way and has a no fuss policy. I see the fashion on the Gold Coast to be different as we live in a climate that allows us to wear that effortless look all year round. I’d say a good fitting white tee, classic shorts, a blazer and some amazing shoes would be a go to outfit for the Gold Coast girl and one of my personal favourites.
A Little About You …?
Lets see a little bit about me.. Other than modelling I have my own photography & graphic design business, which I also do fashion styling within too. I am passionate about being healthy, keeping fit and having a positive mindset. Other than work I love to spend time with my family, partner and close girlfriends.
Now as a final question what makes you stand out from the other finalists of Face of Fashion Week …?
I’d say I stand out from the other finalists by not having a typical beauty-model face; I have an unusual look that I believe is quite unique to anyone else within the competition. I hope this will help me stand out amongst so many beautiful faces!
