The dinosaurs are coming to Surfers Paradise these school holidays for Surfers Paradise Kids Week and Circle on Cavill is joining in the prehistoric fun with a special screening of Disney movie, The Good Dinosaur on Saturday, September 29.
Families are invited to Circle On Cavill to get comfortable on the precinct’s grassy surrounds for a night at the movies, under the stars on a screen almost as big as a Tyrannosaurus Rex’s head.
There will be plenty of plush, cosy bean bags to sink into, and stalls offering free buttery popcorn, fairy-floss and snow-cones to movie-goers seeking out the perfect pre-movie snack.
Once everyone has found a spot and the lights are dimmed, the stars of The Good Dinosaur will take to the screen including Arlo, his parents and two siblings who were not wiped out 65 million years ago.
Watch on as a rainstorm washes Arlo downriver, where he ends up bruised, battered and a long way from home. By chance, the frightened dinosaur meets Spot, a Neanderthal boy who offers to help Arlo. It’s a tale of friendship and a journey of a lifetime to reunite Arlo with his beloved family that is sure to inspire even the youngest of viewers.
Parents are encouraged to bring their children into the Surfers Paradise precinct for a day of fun before retreating to Circle on Cavill for an early dinner before the screening begins.
With a bevy of tasty dinner options within the precinct, families can enjoy Royal Dynasty’s signature Peking Duck, a delicious Hong Kong-styled Wonton Tossed Noodle from Dumpling Noodle on Circle or a Pork Rib Pizza from Hurricane’s Bar and Express.
