In his almost 20-year career, Jim has delivered seven monumental comedy specials and is one of the biggest ticket?selling stand?up comedians on the planet – his 2016 dates sold over 50,000 tickets across nine cities in Australia alone. Now, The Jim Jefferies Show anchor is bringing his latest live stand up – The Night Talker Tour – fresh from New York City’s Madison Square Garden in November to arenas in his biggest Australian tour to date.
The Night Talker Tour kicks off at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre on Thursday 6 December, before heading to Perth, Brisbane and Sydney, and wrapping up at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on Monday 17 December. Tickets to all shows are on sale Friday 14 September.
The self-described atheist sells out stadiums and iconic venues globally, with hilarious routines spanning subjects such as alcoholism, political satire, celebrities, gun control, religion, and sex.
Initially announced hot off the heels of his 2017 smash hit Netflix special Freedumb, The Night Talker Tour has taken Los Angeles-based Jim across the USA and Canada. The prolific comic’s most recent hit is the brutally hilarious This Is Me Now, filmed at London’s iconic Eventim Apollo Theatre (formerly the Hammersmith Apollo) in early 2018, and dropped on Netflix globally in July to resounding critical acclaim.
The indefatigable wordsmith famously has an hour-plus of new material every time he hits the road, and the sheer expectant energy from a Jim Jefferies audience is always electric.
A smash hit in the USA, Jim has hosted Comedy Central’s The Jim Jefferies Show since 2017, the initial 10-episode run renewed for a further 20 episodes before the first season had even wrapped. His acclaimed 2013 sit?com Legit (written, directed by and starring Jim) aired for two seasons to a diehard fanbase.
Jim has a background in musical theatre, ballet and classical music. Awarded scholarships from the Sydney Opera House and the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), throat nodules forced him to prematurely retire his burgeoning singing career. In 2007, Jim was punched by a stage-invading heckler during a set at the Manchester Comedy Store. The incident was captured on the venue’s in-house video, and the footage became one of YouTube’s earliest viral videos – quickly accruing almost two million views. Suddenly everyone wanted to see Jim Jefferies live!
Don’t miss your chance to catch the Australian comedy juggernaut in an epic arena tour this December 2018 – tickets won’t last long!
