The much-anticipated return was officially confirmed by Academy CEO Bill Kramer and President Janet Yang today, stirring a wave of excitement among Hollywood enthusiasts and fans worldwide.

“We are thrilled about Jimmy returning to host and Molly McNearney returning as executive producer for the Oscars. They share our love of movies and our commitment to producing a dynamic and entertaining show for our global audience,” expressed Kramer and Yang in a joint statement.

Kimmel’s seasoned expertise and knack for infusing humanity and humor have solidified his position as one of the most revered Oscars hosts in history. Alongside Molly McNearney, renowned for her prowess in live TV production, Kimmel is all set to orchestrate an evening that promises to captivate viewers and honour the best in the film industry.

“Jimmy has cemented himself as one of the all-time great Oscars hosts with his perfect blend of humanity and humor, and Molly is one of the best live TV producers around. We are delighted to be working with them and their teams on the show,” remarked Oscars executive producer Raj Kapoor and executive producer Katy Mullan.

The news of Kimmel’s return follows his resounding comeback last year, which etched an unforgettable mark in showbiz history. After his triumphant return to the Oscars stage last year, we are honored to have Jimmy back to guide us through one of the most beloved celebrations in entertainment,” expressed Craig Erwich, president of ABC Entertainment, Hulu, and Disney Branded Television Streaming Originals.

The 96th Oscars are slated to take place on Sunday, March 10, 2024, at the illustrious Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood. The ceremony will be broadcast live on the US network ABC and streamed to 200 territories around the globe, promising a night of glitz, glamour and prestige.
