Multi-platinum artist John Legend, an EGOT recipient, songwriter, producer, and activist, is confirmed to perform on the grand stage. This year’s competition, produced by Sergio Alfaro’s InventTV, promises to be a unique blend of talent and glamour.

Paula Shugart, president of the Miss Universe Organization and the program’s executive producer, expressed her excitement about John Legend’s involvement. She recalled their meeting during the 2010 Miss Universe, where Legend performed with The Roots, and spoke of her admiration for his music and philanthropic endeavors. Shugart believes that Legend will elevate the event to new heights with his special performance.

“I first met John when he performed at Miss Universe in 2010 with The Roots. I have been a huge fan ever since, both of his music and his charity and social impact work. I know he’ll bring something very special to our stage, and will take the event to a whole new level.” Paula said.
