Kiyomi celebrates the return of their chef's table dining experience

Kiyomi is bringing back a favourite, inviting diners to experience a modern yet creative take on a traditional Japanese Chef's table.

Kiyomi is bringing back a favourite, inviting diners to experience a modern yet creative take on a traditional Japanese Chef’s table.

Served at Kiyomi’s iconic sushi counter, the 20-course omakase, which translates to ‘leave it up to you’, offers guests a front-row seat to an exclusive degustation menu personally prepared by Chase Kojima or Head Chef Winson Law.

Of the new offering, Kojima says, “Kiyomi has always been about paying respect to traditional Japanese cooking while giving it a burst of fresh energy, and this new omakase offering is no different. This intimate and indulgent menu offers our Queensland guests an opportunity to savour exclusive dishes not available on the current menu and a first-hand look at some of the secrets behind the dishes we create in the Kiyomi kitchen.”

The exact menu will be a surprise on the evening; however, diners can expect a journey through a showcase of dishes that exemplify the chefs’ skills and technique while celebrating Queensland’s sensational seasonal produce.

Think tuna tataki with carbonised leek aioli and pickled ginger gel, seared scampi with foie gras, apples and shiso leaf and grilled black cobia with Japanese curry butter.

Alongside the chef’s table experience, guests will also be able to enjoy a flight of four premium sake?’s from Kiyomi’s collection – perfectly paired to enhance the flavour and ritual of this honoured Japanese culinary tradition.

This culinary event is exclusively available to only eight diners every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings, with bookings essential.
