This week will see Lee Holdsworth make history as just the eleventh driver to enter the prestigious five hundred club of Supercars, and it just happens to be at the iconic Sandown event.

Lee and his Grove Racing teammate celebrated by popping into the famous Lane88 Museum, owned by naming right sponsors Penrite Oil, to see a massive collection of automotive history dating back over 120 years.

Holdsworth said when asked about the milestone, ” it’s good to be coming back to Sandown. I’ve had some success here and am excited to have a lot of family and friends there for my five-hundredth race; it’s a milestone I never imagined achieving, and very proud to be still in the sport after so long, and I hope there’s more to add.

Holdsworth has also been surprised on arrival at the famed Sandown circuit with his first ever Supercar he drove back in his debut in 2004, and his team joined him in pit lane to celebrate and capture the iconic moment.

You can catch all the action from the Penrite Oils Sandown Superprint this weekend on Kayo or Foxtel
