Hospitality group Australia Venue Co is set to open a Beach club at Kurrawa Terrace this summer as part of a trial initiative approved by Gold Coast City Council and the State Government.
The temporary Beach Club will open from Saturday 4th December until Sunday 30th January and will be the perfect place for locals and returning tourists alike to relax and enjoy the views of the beach’s golden sands and rolling waves.
Australian Venue Co-Chairman Bob East said, “Kurrawa Beach is a special place, and the Australian Venue Co team are thrilled to work with the City of Gold Coast to bring the beach club to life for the Broadbeach community.”
The pop-up location has been designed with the community in mind and will suit all ages and be family-friendly. The Kurrawa Beach Club will feature daybeds, casual dining areas, bookable VIP cabanas, a kids play area and a community recreational zone with volleyball nets.
Styled with plenty of neutral and coastal tones of white, beige and light blue complement the iconic Gold Coast surrounds and offer a fresh and exciting look for patrons.
The onsite container kitchen will deliver a fresh summer-inspired menu including snacks, seafood skewers, burgers and light salads and a dedicated kids’ menu using fresh, local seasonal produce. The bar will serve up perfect summer sips that will feature a line-up of homegrown brands such as Black Hops Brewing, Wheel & Spoon and Hard Fizz.
A big line-up of entertainment will be on offer including live music from local Gold Coast artists, Sunday Family Day, all-age friendly activities such as yoga beach sessions and a community beach clean-up day.
Australian Venue Co operates a number of the Gold Coast’s most loved pubs, including The Wallaby Hotel in Mudgeeraba which recently underwent a $2.3 million dollar renovation. The group also runs the popular Exchange Beach Club in Melbourne.
