Ahead of the iconic musical Mamma Mia hitting the Gold Coast this weekend, the all star cast have dusted off their dancing shoes and just wrapped 150 hours in rehearsals.
Producer Matt Ward said “We are working with an extremely talented group of stars – from some of the most seasoned to new up-and-coming musical theatre talent like Madeline Grice who we discovered through a local star search.
“To say I’m excited is an understatement, I can’t wait to see the show come to life as we watch the cast seamlessly transform into their lively on-stage personas”
The cast made up of leads including local local Star Search winner, Madeline Grice, as ‘Sophie Sheridan’, Jayde Westaby ‘Donna Sheridan’, Lakota Johnson ‘Sky’, Sean Mulligan ‘Sam Carmichael’, James Shaw ‘Harry Bright’, Sandro Colarelli ‘Bill Austin’, Leah Howard ‘Rosie’ and media personality Emily Jade O’Keeffe ‘Tanya’, to deliver the beloved story.
Following a fun yet extensive audition process, conducted by Matt Ward Entertainment over the last few months, 14 additional performers have been cast in various supporting and ensemble roles for the iconic production, including Kyra Thompson ‘Ali’, Alicia Fox ‘Lisa’, DonAlex Vilitama ‘Pepper’ and Zane Powell, Jackson Brash, Maddi Coleman, Ryley Shaw, Carla Doyle, Selin Doygun, Patrick Connolly, Shyan Andrews, Aurelie Roque, Alex Watson and Stephen Hirst as the ensemble.
