Michael Lambie sets his sights on the Gold Coast with Rubi Red

One of the countries most awarded Chefs, Michael Lambie, has set his sights on the Gold Coast with his new venue Rubi Red Kitchen & Bar

One of the countries most awarded and respected Chefs, Michael Lambie, has set his sights on the Gold Coast with his brand-new venue, Rubi Red Kitchen & Bar, set to open in Nobby Beach.

After relocating from Melbourne to the Gold Coast, Michael is excited to bring his unique style of Asian Cuisine to the city, which the people of Melbourne have grown to love.

“I am so excited to now call the Gold Coast home with my family. Following the massive success of Lucy Lui in Melbourne, l am so glad to be able to open Rubi Red featuring some of my most famous Asian dishes. We can’t wait to open our doors in March!” said Michael Lambie

The venue located at 2235 Gold Coast Hwy, Nobby Beach, is currently undergoing extensive renovations to transform the inspiration for the venue into a reality.

The inspiration for his brand-new venue is a beautiful Asian Lady named Rubi Red, who has travelled extensively throughout Asia with an enormous passion for delicious cuisine. After visiting Australia, Rubi fell in love with the Gold Coast, particularly Nobby Beach. So she decided it would be ideal to open a restaurant and share her eclectic Asian dining experiences with everybody.

The venue will feature a stunning air-conditioned restaurant on the ground floor, extending outside to provide outdoor dining and the venue’s rooftop bar is sure to be a trendy part of the Nobbys nightlife.

Rubi Red Kitchen & Bar will hold 300 guests across the two levels and open its doors in March.
