Miss Universe Australia - Finalist interview Alexandra Ivkovic of NSW

Congratulations on making it so far in the coveted Miss Universe Australia competition tell us a little about yourself …!
Who inspires you most ….???
Definitely my parents! They can do it all, and with a smile on their faces
What do you do for a living ….?
I’m a full time student, I’m doing a double degree of a Bachelor of Law with a Bachelor of Arts, Major in Sociology at Macquarie University. But a girl’s got to make a living, so I work at a Real Estate agency during the week as well!
Speaking of work, where is your favourite place to kick up your heels after a hard day of work …???
I absolutely love the beach. I think that there is no better place to relax, but if it’s a rainy or cold day I enjoy just curling up on the couch.
And what does your ideal day of rest and relaxation entail…??
Ideally, some sunshine, a book and great company
Including your favourite chill out music …?
Hmm, its so hard to pick! I like so many different kinds of music, but it depends on my mood. I guess you can never go wrong with some Rihanna
And how would you say your work, if at all, has prepared you for the Miss Universe Australia Competition…?
I wouldn’t say that work has prepared me for it, but being at University means that I meet new people all the time and at work I deal with clients, so I haven’t found it difficult to meet and get used to such a big group of girls.

What is something people might find interesting about yourself..?
??
I’m very interested in politics, especially Nordic countries and how they function! I’ve spent about a year of my course studying it.
How would you describe your personal Style…?
Minimalist and chic. I love clean and classic looks that have a modern feminine twist.
Talking of style who is your favourite designer or brand …?
I love Balmain Paris and Celine (to look at because I cant afford them haha) and my absolute favourite brand is Marciano. Paul Marciano collaborates with Guess, and I have so many of the pieces. They’re made with amazing quality are very classy.
?
And what does your beauty & fitness regime consist of …?

I use Certified Organic and paraben free beauty products, and of course adequate sleep helps a lot!
In relation to fitness, I think that consistency is the key! I don’t enjoy cardio, so I will focus on strength and weights training 3 or 4 times a week. I make sure that work out frequently so that I don’t need to spend more than an hour every time, and I can maintain the results easier that way.
Where do you see the Miss Universe Journey taking you …?
I have no idea! So far its all happened really quickly and its very surreal, I’m enjoying just taking everything as it comes. It’s the first beauty pageant/modeling event I have ever been a part of, so I’m learning a lot about myself.
??We all have a favourite saying or personal mantra what would you say is yours..? ??
“Every experience, no matter how bad it seems, holds within it a blessing of some kind. The goal is to find it.”
And what are the five things in your life you just can’t live without …?
Easy! Mum, Dad, my brother, my sister and my best friend. And food, if we’re being technical here J
