Occy's Grom Comp hits the Gold Coast this weekend!

th Annual Billabong Occy’s Grom Comp, presented by Breaka that sees competition begin the moment the event opens for entries. This year, an hour was all it took for the event to fill, reiterating the popularity of the event in the name of one of the sport’s biggest icons, 1999 World Champion Mark “Occy” Occhilupo. The event caters to boys and girls from 12 and Under divisions through to the blue-ribbon 16 and Under. 2013 16 and Under Champions, Reef Doig (Bali, Indonesia) and Coolum’s Isabella Nichols are both missing from this year’s draw, which will open the door for Australia’s emerging talent to step up and etch their names alongside Doig and Nichols’. North Stradbroke’s Ethan Ewing just missed on a win in the 16 and Under division last year, placing second to Doig in the final minutes of the final.
