Kicking off on a mediocre Monday, the Sydney Opera House has today kicked off a campaign to 'Make Wednesday Great Again', offering Sydneysiders incredible 2 for 1 deals on shows and events, and food and drink specials to add some spontaneity to the midweek.

2 for 1 Wednesdays will make show tickets, dining and parking at Australia's most iconic performing arts centre more accessible to Sydneysiders with last minute offers, encouraging new audiences to visit.

Sydney Opera House General Manager of Marketing Christina Erskine says: “Locals love ‘cheap movie Tuesdays’ and ‘sausage sizzle Saturday’ but the humble hump day is yet to carve out its place in our social calendar.

“The Opera House has stepped up to the plate by offering 2 for 1 Wednesday deals. It’s all to encourage more Sydneysiders to visit us – perhaps for the first time – and uncover the huge breadth of what’s on offer from comedy, theatre and contemporary music to darn good fried chicken.”

This tongue-in-cheek campaign kicks off today, bringing Wednesday to life in human form as its ambassador.
