Practice kicks off today for the Bosch Power Tools Perth Super440, as the Repco Supercars Championship rolls into Western Australia for its fifth round.
Drivers are hitting the track at WA’s historic Wanneroo circuit—now known as CARCO.com.au Raceway—for two 30-minute practice sessions ahead of a high-octane weekend featuring dual qualifying and three races.
In a landmark moment for Australian motorsport, the circuit is set to become the first in history to record 100 Championship races in the Supercars/Australian Touring Car Championship when racing continues next week.
Championship Battle Intensifies
Red Bull Ampol Racing teammates Broc Feeney and Will Brown are front and centre of the title fight. Feeney currently leads the standings by 33 points, with Brown hot on his heels. New Zealand’s rising talent Matt Payne is the leading Ford driver in the championship, sitting third overall and 75 points behind Feeney.
Ahead of the racing action, the Perth public got a close-up look at the stars of the show. Feeney and Brown were greeted by hundreds of fans in Perth’s CBD on Thursday night, building excitement for what’s shaping up to be a blockbuster weekend.
Perth-born 2023 Champion and defending Bathurst winner Brodie Kostecki, from Ballajura, is eyeing his first career win at his home track. With local support behind him, Kostecki will be a key contender to watch.
