Netflix has officially debuted a teaser for its forthcoming Pride and Prejudice series, featuring Elizabeth Bennet (Emma Corrin) and Mr Darcy (Jack Lowden).

With 2026 already proving a big year for Regency-era viewing, the new six-part limited series is set to arrive in Autumn, positioning itself as a faithful, classic adaptation of Jane Austen’s iconic novel. The series is written by Dolly Alderton (Everything I Know About Love) and directed by Euros Lyn (Heartstopper).

When the full cast was revealed during production, Alderton, who serves as Writer and Executive Producer, said: “Once in a generation, a group of people get to retell this wonderful story and I feel very lucky that I get to be a part of it. Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice is the blueprint for romantic comedy – it has been a joy to delve back into its pages to find both familiar and fresh ways of bringing this beloved book to life.”

The project also marks a milestone for Corrin, who will star as Elizabeth Bennet and join as an Executive Producer, making their debut in the role. Executive Producers include Laura Lankester, Will Johnston and Louise Mutter for Lookout Point, as well as Alderton and Lyn. Lisa Osborne is producer.

The wider cast includes Olivia Colman as Mrs Bennet, Rufus Sewell as Mr Bennet, Freya Mavor as Jane Bennet, Jamie Demetriou as Mr Collins, Daryl McCormack as Mr Bingley, Louis Partridge as Mr Wickham, Rhea Norwood as Lydia Bennet, Siena Kelly as Caroline Bingley, and Fiona Shaw as Lady Catherine de Bourg. Hopey Parish will make their screen debut as Mary Bennet, alongside Hollie Avery, who will make their screen debut as Kitty Bennet.

Eagle-eyed fans also took to social media last week after spotting the teaser playing on the big screen ahead of watching Wuthering Heights.

Pride and Prejudice, coming to Netflix Spring 2026.
