The runway was lit, the music was playing, the models were walking and the cameras were flashing – this was the QTFWA Shopping Day Out. Held in the QT Hotel ballroom, the QT Fashion Day Out offered the ultimate shopping experience, with sample, sale and new season pieces on display from a variety of incredibly talented designers. A demonstration station with Toni & Guy hairdressers was in the foyer, along with a Runway Express makeup touch up station. There were many stunning, fun and chic designs that graced the catwalk, beginning with Cameo the Label. A punchy, bold line was presented, with floral prints and hexagonal designs fronting for the season. This was followed by Mariam Seddiq, a label the exuded class and style. Anna Hulm brought a fun and colourful line forward, bringing a bubbly and bright feeling to the room. The Chess Club Collective boys brought a cheeky, fun element to the runway, many giving a hoot and holler as the models wandered along. The CCC gents also had a representative of their own on the stage –  Moreese a big, black plush chimpanzee carried by Face of fashion week Silka Kurzak . Followed by Sport Lé Moda, who presented, as always, an incredibly stylish line of fitness fashion certainly a brand to watch in the 14/15 season . Smoking Water showed an absolutely exquisite line of swimwear, incorporating colour, class, and unique styles for a beautiful collection. Not to be outdone, they were followed by La Biquini, an equally impressive collection of summery, sassy swimwear for QT Fashion Week 2014. Janin Australia graced the catwalk, showing a sophisticated, comfortable line,  with a blend of European inspiration and the relaxed vibe of the Gold Coast. Zingiber Swimwear proved a force to be reckoned with, presenting unique and stunning designs – truly, one of a kind. Lucid the Label combined sophistication and sexiness to present a beautiful line. Overall, QT Fashion Week was a raging success, with Sunday’s Fashion Day Out being the perfect end to an otherwise busy, inspired week. One thing is for sure – Australia has plenty to look forward to in the fashion arena. Our Brands to Watch Chess Club Collective www.chessclubcollective.com Sport Le Moda www.sportlemoda.com.au/ Photography provided by Official Event Photographer  Michael Greves http://www.michaelgreves.com/
