Say Hello to Chop Chop the Gold Coast's new dining destination.

One of the Gold Coast’s most exciting dining experiences has a brand new name.

CHOP CHOP precinct having earned a reputation for creating an authentic laneway experience.

When completely fitted out, CHOP CHOP Surfers Paradise will be home to 28 street food vendors with the facades of the shops mimicking an Asian hawkers marketplace.

Here, diners are able to choose between a bounty of international cuisines including Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai, Japanese and Indian – to name a few.

The precinct, announced earlier this year, has been rebranded after a change of management with the Denwol Group taking the reins of the development.

Denwol Group owner Phillip Wolanski says the announcement comes at an opportune time as the precinct gears up for its grand opening this spring.

“Street food precincts are all about colour, energy, having fun and of course, top quality food,” said Mr Wolanski.

“The name CHOP CHOP captures those qualities in a simple and well-known phrase.

“Anyone who has visited a traditional Asian-style street food precinct knows they are a fast-paced environment that leave diners buzzing and CHOP CHOP Surfers Paradise is certainly fitting of its new name.”

Denwol have committed a large amount of capital to the development of CHOP CHOP Surfers Paradise and therefore will reconfigure and revitalise Surfers Paradise dining.

The precinct will become a culinary destination for Gold Coast gourmets and visitors to the city seeking out a foodie experience reminiscent of the bustling hawker-style food lanes in Shanghai, Istanbul, Hanoi and other locations around the world.

A total of 11 tenants including Sharetea, Ramen Danbo, Touch of India, Yum Cha Noodle Haus, Sushi Ave, Rice Vs Noodle, Korean Kitchen along with newly opened Hotcakes House, Fruit Bang, Bali in Paradise and Ace Thai are currently operating in the precinct, with Dumpling Ma Ma set to open next week.

The renowned Sky Restaurant which boasts a traditional Yum Cha menu, also operates from the centre.

“We are proud to announce an incredible line up of tenants for the CHOP CHOP precinct with each tenant bringing their own style to a unique offering,” said Mr. Wolanski.
