SEPHORA celebrated the launch of its first Queensland store last week , at Pacific Fair Shopping Centre in Gold Coast’s Broadbeach,
Thousands of beauty enthusiasts queued outside the store in anticipation for the launch, waiting to experience the world of SEPHORA and enjoy more than 100 beauty brands, complimentary beauty services and all of the opening day fun, which included a live DJ and beauty giveaways.
The beauty giant saw over 1000 consumers in the lineup ahead of the store opening at midday, all excited to see what brands were on offer at the Pacific Fair store.
This is SEPHORA’s fourth Australian store after opening its first store in Sydney’s Pitt St Mall during December 2014. The beauty giant, owned by LVMH, also has stores in Sydney’s Macquarie Centre and Melbourne Central, contributing to its strong list of more than 2500 stores worldwide.
Country Manager from SEPHORA Australia, Libby Amelia said, “We are overwhelmed with the turnout today from our Queensland beauties. We had over 1000 consumer’s queuing ahead of the doors opening, a live DJ set from 8am and we’re thrilled to see the attention and effort the lovely ladies and gents went to in creating some incredible gold looks from head to toe. We thrilled to be a part of the Pacific Fair family.”
The new Pacific Fair store is part of a $670 million redevelopment of the Gold Coast centre that commenced in January 2014. The 445sqm store will incorporate some additional fixtures including a new beauty studio, to support SEPHORA’s complimentary and paid services.
Pacific Fair General Manager, Brett Clarke welcomed the global beauty authority to the Gold Coast community.
“We are delighted to announce that Sephora will be joining the enviable range of retailers to open at Pacific Fair in 2016. We know that the introduction of a global beauty megabrand such as Sephora will generate much excitement amongst our shoppers, and we are thrilled that they have chosen Pacific Fair as the location for their first store in Queensland,” said Mr Clarke.
In line with the Gold Coast store opening, SEPHORA has added two new exclusive brands to their offering, including Oaui, by celebrity hair stylist Jen Atkins and UK fragrance brand Commodity Goods.
