Gold Coast, Queensland Friday 6th September, 2013 – The Stealth Queensland State Bodyboarding Title is the second of a two-event series hitting the water on the Gold Coast this weekend. This weekend’s event will conclude the series and ultimately determine the Queensland team that will compete at the Australian Bodyboarding Titles in Coffs Harbour later this year. Event organisers have pegged bodyboarding hotspot, Duranbah as a likely location for the event, with a favourable forecast for great scores and big moves on the cards for competitors. Great conditions combined with a prime location like Duranbah and some incredible talent is a sure-fire recipe for an incredible culminating event to this two-event series. The ongoing battle between top seeds Lachlan Cramsie (Mooloolaba, QLD) and Elliot Williams (Kingscliff, NSW) will recommence when the Open Men’s division hits the water. Both competitors are keen to secure the number one spot in the State team. Williams said he is charged up for the weekend and is ready to dig deep in front of his home crowd, “Lachlan’s a fierce competitor but this is my home turf!” Williams was also keen to acknowledge the younger talent at the event. “Jasper [Hinchliffe], Jarrah [Hamlin] and Tyler [Lock] from Kingscliff are all lads to watch, competition in those younger grom divisions will be fierce!” Duranbah is a popular location for Gold Coast bodyboarders and Point Danger will be the prime spot for spectators to secure a location to cheer on the locals.
