The Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach is on at Bells Beach with swell building to four to six foot.
Women’s Round 3 is now underway with overlapping heats and the swell is expected to improve with a once in 50-year storm expected within the next three days which will be a true test for the worlds best surfers.
“We are on starting at 8:10 a.m. with women’s Round 3 at Bells Beach,” said WSL Competition Director, Kieren Perrow. “That swell we’ve all been waiting for is starting to show here at Bells and we are excited for an epic three days of competition to close out this event. Women’s Round 3 will use the overlapping format to take advantage of the conditions. Midway through this round, we will decide what will run next (men’s Round 3 or women’s Quarterfinals) and if we will continue to run overlapping heats.”
