Summer is here Chevron Renaissance heats up with free festival

CHEVRON Renaissance Shopping Centre is set to celebrate the arrival of summer with a free family-friendly festival on Saturday December 16. The iconic Gold Coast shopping and lifestyle precinct is set to turn up the heat at its inaugural Chevron Fest – which will see locals and holiday-makers alike enjoy a summer-inspired festival complete with live music, colourful roving entertainment and special retail offers throughout the Centre. From 10am to 6pm, Chevron Fest toasts the Coast’s most festive season as local buskers kick off entertainment for the day, while roving entertainers delight crowds with their acrobatic antics. Headline act The Lyrical will lay down roots, hip hop and reggae sounds to enhance the tropical vibes throughout the afternoon, while guests indulge in a fantastic range of special offers from the Centre’s diverse array of popular eateries, including Betty’s Burgers, El Patio de Cuba, Zambrero, Crust Pizza, PappaRich and Zanette’s Gelati. Chevron Renaissance Shopping Centre Marketing Manager Sarah Tate said the festival was an opportunity to welcome summer with a vibrant celebration, while showcasing the precinct’s revitalised offering as a thriving dining, entertainment and shopping destination in the heart of Surfers Paradise. “We invite local families and visitors as well as holiday-makers to come along for a fabulous day out of free live entertainment and discover all that is on offer at the new-look Chevron Renaissance,” Ms Tate said. “Everyone is welcome to join us for this free community event showcasing Chevron’s dynamic offering of boutique retailers and beautiful alfresco dining amid a colourful carnival atmosphere. Summer is here Chevron Renaissance heats up with free festival “Through Precision Group’s investment in a continuing program of improvement works, Chevron Renaissance has evolved into a contemporary Surfers Paradise icon, and we are proud to celebrate our new and enhanced look at this special family-friendly event.” Creating a unique food and beverage offering, popular restaurants throughout Chevron Renaissance will host ‘one-hour, one-dollar’ specials, where guests can indulge their senses with great deals throughout the day. Among highlights of the unique food and beverage offering, Betty’s Burgers – renowned as the home of the Coast’s best burgers – guarantees foodie heaven in the shape of $1 classic burgers available between 11am and 12pm. There will also be $1 quesadilla’s from Zambrero (between 1pm and 2pm), $1 traditional lunch pizzas at Crust Pizza (from 2pm and 3pm) and $1 single flavour cone from Zanette’s Gelati (between 4pm to 5pm), among others. Other attractions on the day include giveaways of all varieties – from giant beach balls, balloons and bags, to one lucky guest winning a trip to Bali, including flights and accommodation, as part of Chevron Fest celebrations. For those wanting to enter the Bali competition, entries have opened this month and will run through to Chevron Fest, available to those who spend $20 within the shopping, dining and entertainment precinct.
