The inaugural Sunset Run took place on the Gold Coast recently where forty of Australia’s most prestigious and exotic supercars and their owners joined up to transform the streets of the Gold Coast for a good cause.
The brainchild of two local supercars fanatics, Rachael Reid of Her Super Car Life and Ian McLean of East Exotics, set out to bring the community together and raise funds for local charity LIVIN, which provides a range of mental health initiatives for local school children.
“It is so rewarding to be bringing the supercar community together in an incredible location while raising money for charity. This is only the beginning for The Sunset Run, and we look forward to growing this event and its charitable impact into the future.” – Rachael Reid, Sunset Run Co-Founder.
Drivers toured a range of guests from the Captain’s Lounge in the Gold Coast Hinterland down to the streets of Broadbeach to Oracle Boulevard before heading through to the Sheraton Grand Mirage before closing out the evening with a charity auction.
The Sunset Run raised an impressive $51,580 for their charity partner LIVIN, which will fund over 2,590 LIVIN Well sessions for school kids around the country.
“We are delighted with the result we achieved for our charity partner LIVIN. LIVIN has been doing remarkable work in the mental health space, and the funds we helped raise will go towards helping LIVIN deliver the mental health message to schools across Australia.” – Ian McLean, Sunset Run Co-Founder
