The Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 has officially arrived in spectacular fashion, marking its presence with a thrilling display on Gold Coast’s iconic Main Beach. Today, fans were treated to a stunning showcase of high-octane stunts, just days ahead of the highly anticipated race weekend.

Racing on the Sand

Leading the charge was Matt Stone Racing’s Cameron Hill, who took his Chevrolet Camaro for a spin along the sun-drenched beachfront, flanked by an impressive line-up of motorsport vehicles. Joining him were drift racer Mitch Pullen and off-road star Dexter Warren, as well as the Boost Mobile helicopter, a Westpac rescue chopper, and even an aerobatics stunt plane piloted by Hayden Pullen.

The thrilling scene featured everything from Hill’s Supercar tearing down the sand to Pullen’s drift car kicking up dust and showcasing jaw-dropping drifts. This stunt was all about signalling the beginning of race week, with the streets of Surfers Paradise set to become the playground for some of the world’s best drivers this weekend.

On-Track Action and Events

On-track action officially starts on Friday, October 25, with two 250-kilometre races scheduled for Saturday and Sunday. But before that, fans will be spoiled with a series of exciting pre-race events. The annual Transporters on Tedder parade kicks things off on Wednesday, with Supercars transporters rumbling down Tedder Avenue at 10:45 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Fans will also have the chance to meet their favourite drivers on Thursday evening at SuperFest, held under the iconic Surfers Paradise sign on Cavill Avenue.

Pullen will take centre stage again on Friday and Saturday evenings with the new Boost Mobile Pro DRIFT SLAM, a drift competition set to add even more adrenaline to the weekend’s packed schedule.

Get Ready for Traffic Changes

With the event now in full swing, locals and visitors alike should be prepared for road closures and traffic disruptions. Key roads, including the Gold Coast Highway, Main Beach Parade, and the Esplanade, will be affected throughout the weekend. Traffic changes began today, and drivers are encouraged to plan ahead and expect delays.
