Spring on Moreton Island brings an Australian first to the shores of Tangalooma Beach with the opening of the Tangalooma Dunes Cabana Club. Developed in collaboration with Carnival, this dedicated beachfront cabana precinct transforms the iconic island destination, offering a front-row seat to one of Australia’s coastal escapes while heroing the region’s natural beauty. Designed to deliver an elevated yet effortless beachfront experience, the club provides an ideal setting for relaxing, reconnecting, and soaking up the sunshine.

Whether visiting for a day trip or an extended island stay, Tangalooma Dunes offers coastal leisure with a distinctly Australian feel. The venue presents the perfect location on the beach where both domestic and international travellers can enjoy the island from a private base.

At the heart of the precinct are 20 cabanas available for day hire. Each engineered to provide an easy, day at the beach, functioning as a secure base to relax and unwind between island adventures. Built to accommodate up to eight guests, every cabana features integrated bench seating arranged around a central table tailored for food, drinks, and share platters.

To maintain all-day comfort, each private unit is fitted with an in-cabana fridge to keep beverages and platters cool throughout the day. Guests can also adjust overhead fans and movable shutters to control cooling and privacy according to their preferences. In addition, the cabanas are wheelchair accessible, ensuring that all guests can enjoy the beachfront experience with ease.

“The Tangalooma Dunes Cabana Club is an Australian first – creating a dedicated beachfront cabana precinct where guests can relax, socialise, and enjoy the island in a whole new way. It’s a unique addition to the Tangalooma experience, offering a uniquely Australian laid-back beach club atmosphere on the shores of Tangalooma Beach,” Mr James said.
