A Taste of Bacchus Southbank

Walking into Bacchus is like stepping into a scene out of the Great Gatsby, from its rustic leather couches to its exquisite chandeliers and golden water vases. The restaurant has achieved a unique, private feel considering it’s located on one of Brisbane’s most thriving strips.
Bacchus, although having only opened in October of 2012, has a full kitchen of incredible chefs and personable, efficient floor staff. Half the restaurant is inside and the other half on the balcony, providing a lovely summer venue under the sun and clear skies but also accommodating for the winter climates. The balcony of the restaurant is partially poolside, adding to a perfect high-class summer atmosphere.
Bacchus serves amazing entrees, enticing you with every bite and creating anticipation of what can be expected for your main. They serve beautiful steaks, some of which are pasture fed, meaning less fat and more environmentally friendly, catering for a wide verity of guests. Ordering a steak is accompanied by the choice of your own unique steak knife. Their menu changes roughly every three months, keeping it interesting and fresh. If steak is not what you’re after, Bacchus serves beautiful salmon and a variety of other seafood and pasta dishes. If you’re unsure of your wine preference, allow their sommelier to recommend a suitable drop to compliment your meal
They have a wide selection of amazing desserts along with a range of exquisite cheeses. The Mascarpone is served as a piece of artwork and the sticky date is home made to perfection. For coffee lovers Bacchus offers three different beans to choose from and barristers to craft them into a perfect coffee.
Bacchus is open for lunch and dinner but also offers high teas, which are popular for baby showers and hens’ parties. They offer function venues as well for any occasion you wish to celebrate. If you don’t have time for dinner or just seeking a comfortable, classy venue for a few drinks, Bacchus has an exquisitely designed bar area, continuing the Gatsby feel.
It is easy to see when someone had a clear vision for a venue and Bacchus has satisfied every criteria, it is most definitely a spot to tick off your list.
And recently launched as the new home for Dom Perignon with an amazing event that would rival any Hollywood party we have some of our snaps for you
