The Bear Season 5: How the Hit Series Will End

The Bear returns for its fifth and final season on Disney+ June 26, with all eight episodes dropping at once.

Today, Disney+ debuted the official trailer for the critically acclaimed, Emmy Award-winning hit series from FX, “The Bear”. Fans can finally mark their calendars. The series is returning for its fifth and final season, which will premiere exclusively on Disney+ on Friday, June 26. For those who love to binge watch, all eight episodes will be available to stream right at debut.

What to expect in the final season

The upcoming season kicks off with a massive shock to the system. The morning after the events of the previous season, Sydney Adamu (Ayo Edebiri), Richard “Richie” Jerimovich (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) and Natalie “Sugar” Berzatto (Abby Elliott) wake up to discover that Chef Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto (Jeremy Allen White) has “quit the food industry” completely.

This unexpected exit leaves the restaurant firmly in their hands. The new partners must face serious hurdles. They have no money, the looming threat of a sale, and a torrential storm standing in their way. Together with the rest of the team, they must band together to achieve “one last service” in the hopes of finally earning a Michelin star. Through all the chaos, the crew learns a valuable lesson: what makes a restaurant “perfect” might not be the food, but the people.

The returning cast and crew

The half-hour series will see the return of familiar faces. Jeremy Allen White, Lionel Boyce, Liza ColĂ³n-Zayas and Matty Matheson are all back to star. The season also features recurring roles from Ricky Staffieri, Oliver Platt, Will Poulter and Jamie Lee Curtis.

Behind the scenes, “The Bear” was created by Christopher Storer, who is also an Executive Producer alongside Josh Senior, Cooper Wehde, Tyson Bidner, Matty Matheson, Hiro Murai and Rene Gube. Courtney Storer continues her work as a Culinary Producer for the FX Productions series.
